In short
- Livar keeps what it needs to run your companies: who you are, what you tell your team, and what they do with it.
- What you write is sent to the makers of the AI models your team thinks with, so that they can answer.
- The pages you open are counted only if you say yes, and you can change your mind at any time.
- Nothing about you is sold, and no advertiser or outside tracker is let onto any page.
These lines are a summary. The parts below are what holds.
1Who this is from
Livar is a place to run a company before it costs anything real. Where this page says “we”, it means the people who run Livar. Where it says “you”, it means whoever is using it: someone looking around, an owner with companies here, or a person visiting somebody else’s company.
We decide what is kept about you and why, and we answer for it. This page says what that is. It covers Livar itself and nothing else: a site we link to has rules of its own.
2What we know about you
What you give us
- Your name. What your team calls you. You choose it and can change it in Settings. If you say whether you are drawn as a man or a woman, we keep that too, for your portrait and nothing else.
- Your email address, if you sign in with Google or by email. We are told the address and the name on the account, and nothing else from it. We never see a password.
- Your companies. What you say a company does, where it is, what it sells and for how much, its website if you give one, and everything you tell your team: instructions, tasks, answers and the documents you edit.
- What you pay. The plan or credits you bought, the amount, the currency, the day, and the address your receipt goes to. Your card or bank details go to the payment company and never reach us. We are told how you paid, such as the kind of card and its last four digits, so that your statement can say so.
- What you ask us. If you ask for a custom plan, your name, your email address and what you said you need.
What comes of using Livar
- What your team did. Every decision they made and the reason for it, the visitors they served, the work they wrote and the credits it used.
- Where you are signed in. A record of each browser you are signed in on, so that you can sign out of one or of all.
- Your network address. It reaches our servers as it reaches any site. We use it to stop one sender flooding Livar, and we do not keep it with your account or with anything we count.
- Which pages are opened, only if you allow it. See Cookies and your browser.
We do not ask for, and do not want, anything about your health, your beliefs, your politics or the like. Please do not put it in a company.
3What we do with it
- Run your companies. This is what you came for, and nearly everything we keep is kept for it. The law in many places calls this carrying out our agreement with you.
- Take payment and keep accounts. We keep a record of what was paid because the law requires it.
- Keep Livar safe and working. Limiting abuse, finding faults, and telling one account from another. We do this because we have a fair interest in a service that works, and it does not reach further than that.
- Learn what to make better. Only from what is counted with your say. See below.
- Answer you when you write to us.
We do not sell what we know about you, and we do not pass it to anyone to advertise to you. We show no advertising. No decision that matters to you in law is made about you by a machine.
4Your team and the models behind it
The people in your company think with AI models made by other companies. For someone on your team to decide something, serve a visitor or write a piece of work, what they need to know is sent to one of those models: what your company is, what you asked for, and what has happened so far.
At present the models come from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and DeepSeek, reached directly or through Vercel’s AI Gateway. Each handles what it is sent in order to answer, under its own terms. We send them what the work needs. That includes your name, since your team calls you by it. It does not include your email address or anything about what you paid.
So treat a company here as you would a document you hand to a contractor. Do not put in other people’s personal details, passwords, or anything you are bound to keep secret.
We do not train models of our own on what you write.
What other people can see
- A report is private until you share it. Sharing makes a link, and anyone who has the link can read the report. You can take the link away at any time, in the report.
- If you visit someone else’s company, the name you give and what you say there are kept on that company’s record, where its owner can read them.
5Cookies and your browser
Livar keeps a few small things in your browser. Most are kept in the browser’s own storage and one is a cookie. They come in two kinds.
What Livar needs to work
These are not asked about, because without them you could not sign in or come back to what you were doing. None of them follows you anywhere else.
Who is signed in
Your name here, and the key that lets this browser reach your companies.
Kept until you sign out. A device left unused for 90 days is signed out by itself.
This browser
A random id for this browser, so the same person is not taken for several.
Kept until you clear your browser.
How Livar looks
Light or dark, the currency you last paid in, and how you last looked at your team.
Kept until you clear your browser.
Where you left off
A company you began to set up and did not finish, and the way back to the page you came from.
The way back is forgotten when the tab is closed.
Your city
The city you last put a company in, so the next one starts there. This is the one cookie Livar sets.
Kept for a year.
Signing in
A secret made for one sign-in, so that only the browser that began it can finish it.
Thrown away when you are in.
Your answer
Whether you said the pages you open may be counted.
Kept until you clear your browser.
Working offline
A copy of the parts of Livar that do not change, so it opens quickly and says so plainly when you have no connection.
Replaced when Livar is updated.
What is counted, if you say yes
If you allow it, Livar records which kinds of page are opened and a few things done on them, such as a company being started. This is how we learn what is used and what is not.
- A record holds the kind of page (not which company), whether the screen was a phone, a tablet or a computer, the site you came from, and a random id kept in this browser. If you are signed in, it also says which account it was.
- It goes to our own servers and nowhere else. No other company’s code runs on any page of Livar, so no outside tracker or advertiser can see you here.
- Nothing is counted before you answer, or if you say no.
- If your browser is set to ask sites not to track you (Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control), Livar takes that as a no and does not ask.
6Your choice
This is the answer for this browser. Change it whenever you like. It is also in Settings.
The answer is kept in this browser only, so each browser you use is asked once.
7Who else handles it
A few companies do part of the work of running Livar. Each is given only what its part needs, and may use it for nothing else.
Signing in
WorkOS, and Google if you sign in with Google. They confirm who you are and tell us your email address and name.
Payment
A payment company, at present Flutterwave. It takes your card or bank details, sends your receipt, and tells us whether you paid.
The models
Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and DeepSeek, and Vercel’s AI Gateway, as set out above.
Hosting
The companies whose computers Livar and its records run on.
Beyond these, we hand over what we know about you only when the law requires it, to protect someone from harm, or if Livar passes to a new owner, who would be bound by this page.
8Where it is kept, and for how long
Livar is used all over the world, and the companies above work in several countries. What we know about you may be kept or handled outside the country you live in, where the law may protect it differently. Where the law asks for safeguards before that happens, such as agreed contract terms, we rely on them.
- Your account and your companies are kept for as long as you have an account, so that they are there when you come back.
- A company you close, or an account you ask us to close, is removed from Livar. Copies made for safekeeping go as those copies are replaced.
- Records of payment are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after an account is closed.
- What is counted is kept for thirteen months, so one month can be set beside the same month a year before, and then deleted.
We protect what we hold: connections to Livar are encrypted, the key that signs you in is kept only as a scrambled copy, and a page of Livar may load nothing from anywhere but Livar. No one can promise that nothing will ever go wrong. If something does and it puts you at risk, we will tell you.
9What you can ask of us
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- put right anything that is wrong;
- delete your account and what belongs to it;
- stop using it in a way you object to, or hold off while a question is settled;
- hand it to you in a form another service can read.
You can also take back a yes you gave, as in Your choice, and nothing changes in how Livar treats you for asking any of this.
Many laws set these out as rights, among them the GDPR in Europe and the United Kingdom, the NDPA in Nigeria, the LGPD in Brazil, POPIA in South Africa and the CCPA in California. We answer every such request in the same way, whichever of them applies to you, and within a month. We may need to check that it is you who is asking.
If we do not put something right, you may complain to the authority that looks after personal information where you live.
10Children
Livar is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly keep anything about anyone younger. If you believe a child has given us something, tell us and we will remove it.
11When this page changes
When what Livar keeps or does with it changes, this page changes with it and the date at its top moves. If a change matters to you, we say so in Livar before it takes effect, and we ask again where your yes is needed.
12Writing to us
Write to us about anything on this page, or to ask any of the things above, and a person will answer.
